“Healing and liberation must go hand in hand.” - Nkem Ndefo

  • Choose your path.

If you are an individual over the age of 18, please use the contact page to reach out for individual therapy, group therapy, or workshop participation. We will set up a time to talk on the phone for 15-20 minutes to see if we are a good fit for each other. If so, we will decide on a time to meet and I will provide paperwork to be completed before your first session.

If you are part of a group or organization and interested in having me speak, teach, or provide consultation, please email me and we will find a time to chat.

If you are a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern in the state of Florida and interested in clinical supervision, please email me. I only supervise two people at a time, and all requests require an initial phone interview.

  • Invest.

When you become a new client, you will receive access to your own client portal where you will be able to update personal information, requests scheduling changes, and pay for sessions. We will agree upon a session fee before starting therapy, and I will provide information regarding a Good Faith Estimate. I accept credit card and HSA payments, and do not work directly with any insurance plans at this time. If you would like to receive Super Bills to be reimbursed by your insurance provider, please notify me before we start meeting so that I am able to meet the requirements for your request.

Therapy is an investment of time and resources for you and me. That is why I have a 48 hour cancellation policy, missed payment policy, and a “no show” policy. All are shared in detail in the New Client paperwork. These are not intended to be restrictive or punitive in any way. These policies insure that you and I are both committed to your healing process and respecting each other’s time along the way.

  • Start healing.

Therapy is not a linear process. It would be far easier if we could meet once or twice, I could provide you a list of tasks to complete, and you could see immediate results. That’s just not how it works. (If I find the the magic formula, I will let you know!) There is not a “one size fits all” approach to therapy, so it takes time for us to get to know each other, to build a trusting relationship, and for me to form a treatment plan that is best suited to you and your needs.

If you are someone who likes timelines, I recommend budgeting one year of your time and finances. If you have not experienced any changes over that amount of time, here are some factors to consider: 1) I am not doing my job well.
    2) We are not the best fit for each other.
    3) You may require a different approach.

There are so many good therapists out there and I am certainly not the expert on life. I am always open to having an honest conversation about your care to make sure you are getting exactly what you need.

  • Pay it forward.

Healing is not only a gift to yourself; it is a gift to your loved ones as well. Healthier individuals build healthier families, healthier communities, healthier cultures, and a healthier world. If you have benefitted from therapy, and have the financial means to help someone else, please consider supporting one of these organizations. I have no relationship any of them (except for donations); I just know we all need help getting help sometimes.
